Welcome to the
Don's Teens Trample AIDS homepage. My name is
Don Carrel, and I am a person living with AIDS.
Since 1995, thousands of teenagers and young adults have heard the story
about my life with HIV. Over the years, many teenagers who have heard me
speak have expressed a desire to do something to help individuals infected
with this disease. In past years, I have encouraged those interested in
helping to collect donations and walk in the Kansas City AIDS Walk.
This annual event raises funds to help those in the Kansas City area
who are infected with HIV receive medical care and other
necessities.
This year's Kansas City AIDS Walk will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2006.
Over a three-year period of time the Don's Teens Trample AIDS walk team
raised over $100,000 for the Kansas City AIDS Walk. Approximately
4,000 teenagers have walked with Taylor and
me to demonstrate their concern about the AIDS epidemic.
Taylor, my 16-year-old co-captain, lost his dad
to AIDS 10 years ago.
If you're interested in helping in the war against this deadly epidemic, you can
help by making a donation to Don's Teens Trample AIDS. Please send your
check payable to "Kansas City AIDS Walk" to the following address:
